Our Products Exceed UL 2998's “Zero Ozone Emissions” Requirements
(UL 2998's “Zero Ozone Emissions” <5ppb of ozone)
When choosing an indoor air quality improvement system for your commercial or residential space, ensure it doesn’t produce any harmful by-products, including ozone. Ensure the system has been certified by an independent authority, such as Underwriters Laboratories (UL), to meet maximum ozone production levels of 50 parts per billion (PPB) or less.
Better yet, confirm that the system meets the stricter “zero ozone emissions” standard of no more than 5 PPB (that’s comparable to 5 seconds in 32 years!), and ask to see the test results that prove it.
Phenomenal Aire devices have been certified relative to:
- UL 867 and UL 2998
- CSA C22.2 No.187:20
- California Air Resources Board (CARB)
Why Avoid Products That Produce High Amounts of Ozone?
Phenomenal Aire Independent Test Results:

Ozone production ranged from 1-3 PPB. Imagine the concentration of 1-3 sugar cubes dissolving in a swimming pool!
