How Rock Candy Coworking Proactively Addressed Indoor Air Quality
Rock Candy Coworking is the first and only coworking space in Lititz, Pennsylvania. It can be found on the beautiful Rock Lititz campus. The company is membership driven, offering their clients access to secure fiber-optic Wi-Fi; a large, community-minded workspace; individual offices for those with privacy considerations; office furniture (desks, high-tops, and whiteboard tables); print and copy services; and multiple conference rooms (private or communal). Rock Candy allows its members to engage with guests or clients or to simply escape the isolation and distractions of home to increase productivity.
Full-time members receive key cards, allowing them 24/7 access to the space. Beyond the amenities, members are able to work alongside an engaging, active, diverse group of other professionals. This provides inspiration, as well as organic networking and collaboration opportunities.
The pandemic has been a unique and challenging time for every business. Especially those in an industry like coworking, which fundamentally relies on communal gathering. It was imperative that Rock Candy take aggressive and effective proactive steps to provide its members with clean indoor air. Seeing a deficiency early in the pandemic with suggested indoor air cleaning protocols , Steve Palmer, Rock Candy owner/ manager began investigating indoor air cleaning technologies.
Rock Candy ultimately ended up choosing Phenomenal Aire, advanced indoor air quality technology powered by ion-producing Needlepoint Clusters™.
The technology was installed directly into the facility's existing heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
Because of the unique layout of the space, Rock Candy installed two units: Series R 6.0 and Series D 1.2-1.
After the installation, Palmer was immediately impressed with the results. Ion count was significantly higher than previous to installation, and that change was evident within minutes.
